9 days.

I don't have internet at my new home yet so blogging is next to impossible for me.  I am currently at my parents house with a little free time so I decided I might as well blog!
I am getting married in 9 days!! That is right.  We are in the single digits! I can't believe it.  It still hasn't even entirely hit me yet that I am getting married to my best friend, but it is slowly becoming more of a reality to me.
I think being engaged is the biggest test for a relationship.  I feel bad for Derick. I always told myself I would not be a bridezilla when I was getting married but sometimes my stress gets the best of me.  I know I am marrying the right person because Derick is still by my side and still excited (at least to my knowledge) to get married to me! Even after all the times I have taken my stress out on him.   There have been times when I have been scared of myself, so the fact he is still here is the best sign:).
I keep catching myself saying or thinking "I can't wait until this wedding is all done and over with."  I do not want to have that kind of mindset.  I want to look forward to the day and enjoy every single second of it!  So very often I have to take a few deep breaths and realize the stress will all be worth it when that day is finally here.   I am so unbelievably excited to marry Derick!

Who else has been watching the Olympics?  I can't quite figure out what it is about the Olympics that makes me like them so much, but I just love them!  It is probably a good thing I don't have TV yet because I would spend all the time I can't spare watching them.

My mom turned 57 yesterday.  I have the best mom.  No battle.  We had such a fun laid back celebration for her.  It was on a Sunday so me and all my sister's decided we would make a big sit down dinner for her.  She is also obsessed with the band Train.  They are coming to Utah in a couple of months so we got her Train (the band not the transportation) tickets for her and all of us.  It will be a fun girls night out on the town.  She was very excited to get them.  Our gift was successful.

A few weeks ago I went to Island park with Derick's family.  Well, most of his family.  His dad had to get unexpected surgery a couple of days before we were meant to leave and since they had already reserved the cabin his parents told all the kids to go down without them.  It was a bummer his parents weren't able to go, but we still managed to have a lot of fun with just Derick and I, his two sister's and his sister's family.

I love my life.
